Jul 29, 2013 · DNSCrypt (not DNSSync) was released in August 2011. dnscrypt is a protocol, and there is a free, open-source client for this protocol, called dnscrypt-proxy (often referred to as “dnscrypt” although “dnscrypt” is the protocol). dnscrypt-proxy has no user interface. On Windows, it runs as a native Windows service. DNSCrypt will run automatically in the background. Because of your configuration, all DNS traffic will be diverted through DNSCrypt, encrypted, and sent out to the server that you specified.
